Have been going to Lily's since I moved to FH in 2013. They are truly the best family owned gyro spot around. It's reminiscent of all of the mom and pop eateries from Chicago, except, it's in Fairview Heights:) ... a gem in a sea of corporate chain restaurants:)

So let's talk about Lilly's. #1. I love you Lilly. You are the sweetest person ever and have always made me feel like an old friend when I walk in the door. As a Chicagoland native Gyro is common in my vernacular. Lilly's is the closest thing there is to Chicago style gyros, hot dogs, Italian beef's, you name it. Kind of a cool nostalgic place since it is an "ancient" Taco Bell. I hope this wonderful place exists forever.

Small place with limited seating. Order at the counter and wait for your name to be called.

Food is amazing! The Gyros are honestly the best I ever had. I would recommend to everyone. They also have a menu for the kiddos that aren't ready for a Gyro! The cheeseburgers are great too.

The food is definitely 5 star worthy. Absolutely the gyro I have ever had. This place is run by a Greek couple - you know it is authentic Greek when the wife wrote my name in Greek! She was such a sweet lady too. Both my friend and I ordered their lunch special consisting of a gyro, soda, and fries or side salad. Surprisingly they did not have Greek dressing for salad. Salad was pretty basic but lettuce was fresh and crisp. The gyro was loaded with meat. The reason for my 4 stars is the bathroom. Have to walk outside to back of the building to use restroom. When I went in the light would not come on. It took me 3x open and close door before the automatic light came on. The lock on door seemed pretty flimsy too. Summary: fantastic food but hopefully you won't need restroom.

I like gyros and I get them when I travel but I love lily's and they are in my backyard so even better, the old 80s Taco Bell hides one of Fairviews best kept secrets, seriously the wrap is large enough for a second round!
